Incidence of keratinocyte skin cancer has been continuously rising in recent decades. At the same time, the number of occupational skin cancers has also increased. Treatment depends on clinical manifestation, extent of actinic keratosis, field cancerization and, in case of squamous cell carcinoma, on the tumor stage.
ObjectivesThis work aims to enhance the understanding of the challenges associated with the treatment of occupational skin cancer.
Materials and methodsThis article is based on a review of the literature.
ResultsDifferent therapeutic options for the treatment of occupational skin cancer are presented and discussed.
ConclusionThe need to treat occupational skin cancer is expected to increase in the future. An increasing number of modern therapeutic options will enable adequate patient care.
