摘要

China was generally considered a “low milk-consuming” society, but, as with Western nations, an increasing consumption of milk and milk products is now being observed among the Chinese population. In contrast to nutrition, milk and dairy products have always been important in Chinese medicine. They have always been listed in pharmacopoeias and dietary manuals. This article deals with milk and dairy products in Chinese dietetics and their therapeutic benefits in the nutritional therapy of traditional Chinese medicine and where these products should only be used with caution.
