Implementation of Biquad Charge-Sharing Complex Bandpass Filter for Discrete-Time Receiver
摘要
A charge-sharing complex bandpass filter becomes a good candidate for the channel selection filter of the discrete time superheterodyne and low- IF receivers. In this paper, a biquad charge-sharing complex bandpass filter is presented. The proposed biquad complex bandpass filter is implemented by a cascade of two 4/4-phase charge-sharing complex bandpass filters, together with the voltage-to-current feedback. The transfer function and schematic diagram are introduced, and its frequency characteristics are estimated. The gain, center frequency and bandwidth of the proposed biquad filter are independently adjusted, therefore it can be applied to several RF standards. As an application example, the channel selection filter for BLE is designed in 55-nm 0.9-V RFCMOS, which is a 3rd-order charge-sharing complex bandpass filter. The simulated image rejection ratio, the out-of-band IIP3, and the input-referred in-band noise are 60 dB, − 25dBm, and 9 nV/√Hz under 59.5 dB filter gain, respectively.
